Compared with traditional materials, FRP has the following advantages:
- High strength: FRP has very high strength, and the porcelain strength can reach more than 200MPa. This means that FRP has a strong bearing capacity and can withstand large loads.
- Light material: Compared with metal materials, FRP has a lighter weight. This not only reduces the impact of deadweight on the structure, but also facilitates construction and transportation.
- Corrosion resistance: The organic resin matrix of FRP has good corrosion resistance, can effectively resist the erosion of strong acids or alkalis, and is suitable for various corrosive environments.
- Low cost: Compared with traditional materials, FRP has a lower maintenance cost. It is not easy to corrode or age, does not require regular maintenance, and greatly reduces the cost of later use.
